The Audi A3 Quattro. This is the best car I've driven in ages. The only car that I like better at the moment is our 1996 Porsche 911. We waited for the 3.2 liter, and it was worth the extra 4 months wait. This car is smart, tough and fast. It's actually one of the toughest small cars I've seen. The design is tight, with Audi starting to adopt some of the flame surfacing that BMW's Chris Bangle introduced to the automobile industry a few years ago. The contrast of the more muscular Audi shape with a sharp edge makes for a fresh new form.
We have some good friends who live in West Vancouver, B.C. We met through the Porsche Club, and share a love of high speed German cars. A few months ago they shared with us that they had just taken delivery of their latest German car - an Audi A3. We then shared that the day before we had also placed the order for the same car. Of course, the next question was what color? Both of us ordered the same color, Lava Grey. A couple of weeks ago we brought the two together. Too funny!!
