I admit it, I'm a Trophy Wife. Not the kind of Barbie doll, made-up, stiletto wearing, on the arm of my husband Trophy Wife (although I've admitted here that I'm a lipstick addict and love shoes). I mean I'm a wife, with a lot of trophies.
I don't happen to have them at the moment. They're still at my parents house, and I know for a fact that my mom would love to get them to me. We had a conversation a week or so ago, one we have every now and then that indicated that another "box of something" was heading my way. I didn't ask what she was sending. It's too much fun to get the box and explore.
I think it's my trophies!
Now I have to make the decision what to do with them. I've been thinking alot about that lately. Keep them in a box for another 30 years, display a few nostalgically in my home. That's why you can imagine when I caught sight of this car in a parking garage recently a couple of things came to mind!!
My trophies are primarily for cheerleading (what exactly did I win???) and for bowling. The cheerleader with her pom-poms was the standard trophy in the 70's. Since this took pride of place on the car's hood, and close by was a bowler, it actually passed my mind briefly that someone else mistankingly received my box of trophies... and my brother's, and a few other people's for that matter! They weren't my trophies, but what an idea for a display huh?
I LOVE being a Trophy Wife.
