Thanksgiving dinner has got to be one of the best meals anywhere, ever. The menu, with the blending of diverse flavors, is as much fun to prepare as it is to eat. Well almost...
Here's a glimpse of what was going on in our kitchen yesterday as we made a few of our favorites to take to the home of our dear friends.
Cranberries, sweet, tart, and without this, the meal is not complete.
Cornbread stuffing, with chantarelles, dried apples, raisins and chestnuts.
Sweet potatoes, boiled, mashed, mixed with eggs and bourbon, topped with a bit of light brown sugar and baked.
Apple strudel, raisins soaked in rum until they are practically grapes again.
Need I say more?
Add turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, corn and brussel sprouts.
