It's just too easy to be a non-believer these days.
Is it related to the sheer amount of information that's available? The point and counterpoint provided to almost everything that crosses our paths? What press do you choose to believe and to trust? Is it genetic, the Greek fear of το μάτι (the evil eye)? What keeps us from believing in the positive press, about others and ultimately ourselves?
The world needs more believers.
I once heard a story about former president Bill Clinton, and no it's got nothing to do with sex! The story was that President Clinton could walk into a room of 100 people, 99 of which were huge fans and supporters, and 1 who didn't care for him. He would spend the entire time focused on the one who wasn't his fan. What a way to spend an evening... focused on the one who didn't believe in him.
There's a lot to believe in and to trust, just start listening for it. Hey, I even heard President Obama, speak about the Tea Party Movement with a glass half full perspective. His intellect, perspective and belief is truly aspirational.
Some of the best advice I ever heard was to believe in my own press. And just in case "pfth, pfth, pfth".
